After spending some time hanging around outside of the school with Tara, I finally overcame my nervousness about going back to grade 12 tomorrow.
"Well, I think I'm good now," I said to Tara. "I don't feel so stressed or nervous anymore."
Tara held my hands. "I knew you would eventually be fine, Ricky."
"Yeah, I guess it just took coming to the school and pondering for a bit," I said. "I'm good now though, and I'm ready to go back to grade 12 again tomorrow."
"You definitely look more confident," Tara replied as she continued to hold my hands. "If things do change and you do end up getting nervous again, I'll always be here for you, Ricky."
I gave Tara a kiss on her cheek. "Thanks, Tara."
Me and Tara are now just on our way back to my place. Once we get there, I guess we'll hang out for a bit longer, and then I better get some sleep. I need to make sure that I'm up early tomorrow so that I can prepare for my first day of grade 12. The last thing I want is to be late on my very first day of classes. Well, the first day again. I wonder what it was like being in grade 12 the first time. Maybe someday I'll remember more of my previous past in this same past.
