Grade 12 Starts Tomorrow...

As soon as I got back home from hanging out with Tara, I went upstairs to my room and took a nap. When I woke up from my nap, I went downstairs to make myself some dinner. I was trying to figure out what I was going to have, but I was interrupted by a knock on the door. I went to answer the door, and there was Tara. I invited her in.

"Hi Tara," My mom said.

"Hi Diane," Tara replied. "How are you?"

"I'm fine," my mom responded. "I'm so happy that you and Richard are spending a lot of time together."

The way my mother said hi to Tara and how she said that we were spending a lot of time together was as if Tara had been coming over every day. It was puzzling, but maybe Tara did come over every day in the past.

Anyways, me and Tara went into the kitchen and sat down. We were talking, and she said that we actually start grade 12 tomorrow.

"Ricky, we don't start grade 12 in a couple of days," Tara said. "We start grade 12 tomorrow!"

"What!" I shouted.

"Yuppers," Tara responded. "I found out when I looked at my school papers which my mom left on the table."

I ran my fingers through my hair. "My mom must have been mistaken when she told me that we start grade 12 in a couple of days."

I'm feeling so stressed out right now. Although I can't remember anything about when I was in school, I have this strong feeling that I never did like it. The thought of going back to grade 12 makes me clench my fists. To think about it, where is the damn school?

Conversation Data:

Tara: Ricky, you look like you're about to have an anxiety attack. Are you nervous about going back to grade 12 tomorrow?

Richard: I don't know why, but I kind of am. I can't remember anything about school, but I have this feeling that I never did like it.

Tara: Don't worry, Ricky. I will be with you. We're going together.
